1. Heat 2 tsp ghee in a pan. Add sooji and roast in low flame till it turns aromatic. Remove to a plate and keep aside.
2. In the same pan, add milk along with water and bring it to a boil keeping the flame high. The moment it starts boiling, add sugar, pinch of salt and stir till sugar gets dissolved.
3. Next, slowly add the sooji keeping the flame low. Stir continuously till sooji absorbs milk and no lumps are formed. Keep stirring till sooji thickens completely and turns to a thick dough. At this stage add one more tsp ghee to make the dough more soft. Turn off the flame. Cover and keep aside for 2-3 minutes.
4. Divide the dough into 8-10 equal portions. Take one portion of the dough and shape it like a small bird(🐦). Make its eyes with the black chocolate chips and its comb & wattle with the cherry slices.
5. Follow the process of making similar semolina birds(🐦) with rest of the dough.
6. Serve the sweet semolina birds to your kids to enjoy with a lots of fun and happiness.
